Performance

In the past, I have been very shy about playing and sharing music with others. When studying romantic period composers, I fell in love with the idea of performing in small settings; characteristic of 19th-century Parisian salons and similar intellectual gatherings. I started to participate in, and hold my own, “salon” gatherings; to create a more personal feel and connection with an audience. Below are some small, intimate performances that I am excited to have been a part of.

La Cañada, 2019

This was a small concert, that I hosted, with musicians from the La Verne Symphony Orchestra. Chamber works for string quartet, string trio, and piano, were performed. I played Chopin Étude Op. 25 No. 2, as well as an original piece titled “Menorca”, with Patrick DeJardin (cello).

Mariantonietta, 2018

This was an improvisational jazz concert in Murcia, Spain; played with Patrick DeJardin (cello). We played improvised pieces, and one jazz arrangement of a Chopin Waltz (Op. 69 No. 2), for cello and piano.

La Alberca, 2016

This was a small solo piano concert in La Alberca, Spain. I played solo repertoire, focussing on the works of Frédéric Chopin.
